The basic actuator is used to drive the valve to the fully open or fully closed position. The actuator used to control the valve can accurately make the valve go to any position. Although most actuators are used to switch valves, the design of today's actuators goes far beyond simple switching functions. They include position sensing devices, torque sensing devices, electrode protection devices, logic control devices, digital communication modules and PID control modules, all of which are installed in a compact housing.

Before the electric actuator is installed in the pipeline, the dirt and welding slag in the upper and lower pipelines connected with the valve must be removed. The gasket connected with the pipeline is not allowed to extend into the pipeline, and pay attention to whether the material of the gasket is suitable for the process medium. After installation, the actuator electric device should be opened and closed inspection, and check whether the actuator and its accessories work normally. When the internal pressure of the actuator electric device is charged, check whether there is leakage at the connection between the valve and the pipeline, and whether the flange nut should be tightened.
