The wafer check valve is a universal one-way fluid valve. It is light in weight, small in size, and easy to install between flanges. The inside of the valve is composed of two semicircular springs and a plate surface. It is fixed on the valve body with a pin. The spring deforms to close the valve plate, and the fluid pressure opens the spring. The deformation is fast, which can protect the pipeline from water hammer damage.
Straight-through lift check valve should be installed on the horizontal pipeline, vertical lift check valve and bottom valve are generally installed on the vertical pipeline, and the medium flows from bottom to top. Swing check valve installation position is not properly limited, usually installed in the horizontal pipeline, but can also be installed in the vertical pipeline or dumping pipe. When installing the check valve, special attention should be paid to the direction of the medium flow, and the direction of the normal flow of the medium should be consistent with the direction of the arrow indicated on the valve body, otherwise it will cut off the normal flow of the medium. The bottom valve should be installed at the bottom of the water pump suction pipe. When the check valve is closed, water hammer pressure will be generated in the pipeline, which will cause damage to the valve, pipeline or equipment in severe cases, especially for large-port pipelines or high-pressure pipelines, so the check valve should be selected for high attention.
Precautions for installation of non-return are as follows:
1. When placing the pipeline, pay attention to make the passage direction of the wafer check valve consistent with the fluid flow direction;
2. Install in a vertically placed pipeline. For the horizontal line, vertically position the wafer check valve;
3. Use a telescopic pipe between the wafer check valve and the butterfly valve, and never connect it directly with other valves;
4. Avoid adding pipe joints and blockages within the operating radius of the valve plate;
5. Do not install a reducer in front of or behind the wafer check valve;
6. When installing the wafer check valve near the elbow, pay attention to leaving enough space;
7. When installing the wafer check valve at the outlet of the water pump, at least six times the diameter of the valve will flow out of the space to ensure that the butterfly plate will eventually be affected by the fluid.
