The main function of the unloading relief valve is to automatically control the unloading or loading of the pump. In view of the function of the unloading relief valve, there is a certain difference between the unloading pressure and the loading pressure. If the difference is too small, the unloading and loading actions of the pump are too frequent; if the difference is too large, the system pressure changes too much. The difference between loading pressure and unloading pressure is an important performance index of unloading relief valve. Generally, the loading pressure is about 85% of the unloading pressure. Its performance is the same as the relief valve.

a. Automatic unloading and loading of the pump in the accumulator system;
B. high and low pressure pump combination of large flow low pressure pump unloading.
Selection of unloading relief valve
The unloading relief valve is mainly used in the hydraulic circuit equipped with an accumulator, and automatically unloads the hydraulic pump when the accumulator charging pressure reaches the set pressure of the valve. A check valve is built in the valve to prevent the pressurized oil in the accumulator from flowing back. At this time, the accumulator maintains the oil supply to the system and the pump is unloaded, thus receiving the energy saving effect. When the hydraulic pressure in the accumulator drops to about 85% of the valve set pressure, the valve is re-loaded and the hydraulic pump resumes charging the accumulator.
This valve can also be used for dual pump high and low pressure circuits. At low pressure, the two pumps supply oil to the system at the same time. At high pressure, the valve unloads the large pump and separates it from the high pressure part.
The pressure drop between the accumulator ground valve and the accumulator shall not exceed 10% of the set pressure. Bleed valve drain back pressure shall not exceed 2% of set pressure.
