When pressurizing, the oil should be prevented from flowing into the oil tank from the oil cylinder. When reversing, the oil should be discharged from the oil cylinder to the oil tank.

1. The charging valve is generally used as a suction and discharge valve between the hydraulic cylinder and the oil tank. For the fast-forward stroke of a large press, oil should be sucked from the oil cylinder to the oil tank to prevent the oil from flowing into the oil tank from the oil cylinder when pressurized, and drain oil from the oil cylinder to the oil tank when reversed.
2. Flange-type filling valve is small in size, large in flow and no leakage, and can be directly welded or fixed with flanges.

The filling valve is often used in large presses and injection molding machines when the oil tank is used to add oil to the cylinder, which can achieve rapid movement under the condition of using a small pump. When the cylinder is fast moving, a large amount of liquid is filled from the oil tank to the cylinder. During the pressurization process, the return flow from the cylinder to the oil tank can be cut off. When the cylinder returns, the pilot control pressure oil forces the filling valve to open, so that the oil in the cylinder is discharged back to the oil tank.
