The stop valve is suitable for pipelines with lax requirements on fluid resistance, I .e. pipelines or devices with little consideration on pressure loss and high temperature and high pressure medium, and is suitable for steam and other medium pipelines with DN<200mm. Small valves can be cut-off valves, such as needle valves, instrument valves, sampling valves, pressure gauge valves, etc. The stop valve has flow regulation or pressure regulation, but it does not require high regulation accuracy and the pipe diameter is relatively small, globe valve or throttle valve should be selected; for highly toxic media, bellows sealed globe valve should be selected; but the globe valve should not be used for medium with large viscosity and medium containing particles easy to precipitate, nor should it be used as vent valve and valve of low vacuum system.
1. Selection description of gate valve
In general, gate valves should be preferred. Gate valves are not only suitable for steam, oil and other media, but also for media containing granular solids and high viscosity, and for valves for venting and low vacuum systems. For media with solid particles, the gate valve body should have one or two purge holes. For low temperature medium, low temperature special gate valve should be selected.
2. Globe valve selection description

3. Description of ball valve selection
The ball valve is suitable for low temperature, high pressure and high viscosity media. Most of the ball valve can be used in the medium with suspended solid particles, according to the requirements of the sealing material can also be used for powder and granular media; full channel ball valve is not suitable for flow regulation, but is suitable for the requirements of rapid opening and closing occasions, easy to achieve emergency cut off; usually in strict sealing performance, wear, necking channel, opening and closing action quickly, high pressure cut-off (large pressure difference), low noise, gasification phenomenon, small operating torque, small fluid resistance in the pipeline, recommend use the ball valve.
