一、采购模式
（1）最低价中标模式。无论是国内的建设单位还是国外的建设单位，都想以最小的代价得到最优的产品，这就造成阀门制造单位采取不惜亏本也要确保中标的做法与策略。但是，在阀门招标过程中，阀门制造单位采用这种“亏本”投标的方式，多是通过“以次充好”降低成本，进而获取利润，这样做的代价造成了企业诚信的丢失，也往往成了“一锤子买卖”。很多阀门制造单位感到非常委屈，经常抱怨“游戏规则”制定不合理性，在此种模式下，如此低廉的价格，甚至连产品成本都不够，根本不可能得到招标书中所要求的那种优质产品。对于这种说法，这种抱怨，可以理解，可以同情，但不可以完全认同。当前，国内很多石油化工装置和煤化工装置关键部位的关键阀门虽然是普通阀门，但却开始倾向于采用进口阀门，而且，这种倾向呈“上升”和“扩大”的趋势，这不能不说是国内阀门制造单位的一种悲哀，也势必会将一些阀门制造单位逼上“绝路”。其实，这又何尝不是国内企业“自相残杀”的恶果？当然，从另一个角度来讲，优胜劣汰这一亘古不变的原则也必将使另一些守得住诚信、把得住质量的阀门制造单位长盛不衰。
（2）“按质论价”中标模式探讨。对于阀门“按质论价”模式的采购策略，通常先预付很少一部分预付款，按照阀门的使用寿命和质量进行考核，根据考核结果逐年将尾款付清，而尾款占整个订单总价格的50%以上，这种模式适合资金实力雄厚的阀门制造单位，而对于国内绝大多数中小型阀门制造单位来说，这种模式严重影响了资金回流速率和资金链的安全性，也是其不能接受的主要原因之一。
（3）“框架采购”模式。“框架采购”模式或许是所有阀门制造单位最希望采用的方式，但是这种采购模式几乎不为建设单位所采用，原因很简单，工业装置所需要的绝大多数阀门不属于“高、精、尖”种类，只有某些装置的关键部位需要“高、精、尖”的阀门，并且数量有限，所以建设单位一般不会使用“框架采购”的模式进行采购。
二、阀门质量要求问题
不管采用哪种采购模式，建设单位、阀门制造单位有一个共同的愿望，那就是“利益最大化”。作为建设单位，总是希望以最小的代价获得最适合的产品，也就是性价比最高的产品。在招标过程中，所有阀门都会被提出成分要求、结构规格要求、质检要求和运输要求等，这些要求有时候是比较高的，也貌似非常严苛。
阀门采购时，需方应提出详细的环境及阀门的技术要求，供方按照需方要求在阀门生产的几个主要环节，认真把关，做出用户满意的阀门产品。需方按照采购技术条件对供方的阀门进行严格的质量验收控制，在采购的主要环节与供方进行及时沟通，以便获得性能可靠稳定的阀门产品，满足使用要求。
